It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here and I wanted to get the ball rolling again with this absolutely scummy recipe for Protein Bliss Ball made from none other than (drum roll please…) Weet Bix!
I actually came across it on the back of a Weet Bix box and then, since I am unable to follow recipes, adapted it to suit my tastes!
Since I do a lot of sport and weight training, I do like to keep my snacks high protein, this is just my preference based on what I find works best for my fitness and physique goals.
It is completely up to you whether you include it, it is by no means a necessary addition; protein powder isn’t some magical elixir to life that will get you summer shready!!
I personally love bliss balls. They make really simple, satisfying and nutritious snacks.
Perfect for anyone with a busy, on the go, lifestyle. So that’s pretty much anyone living in the 21st century.
I try and implement a “prep” day, doesn’t always work….but these take like 15mins to make including prepping ingredients. You store them in the fridge for the week, grab and go!
Also, because they’re sweet kids tend to love them, and it makes a super simple way to increase the fibre in their diet.
I mixed up mine using a Thermomix, which if any of you have followed the last few recipes you’ll know I rave about this thing!
No sweat though, any food processor will suffice.
Other than that, just grab a knife, mixing bowl and an air tight container to store them in.
- 3 Weet-Bix
- 2 tbspn Honey (or agave/maple syrup)
- 1 cup Almond Meal
- 1/4 Cup Almonds (chopped)
- 2/3 Cup Dried Cranberry’s
- 1 Scoop Vanilla Protein Powder
- 2 tspn Vanilla Bean Paste
- 2 tbs Water
Couldn’t be easier.
Blend all ingredients together in a food processor/thermomix.
Mould into balls; I did 18 small-ish ones and then have 2 or 3 as a portion.
Store in air tight container in the fridge for up to a week.
